LITTLE LEADERS

To fulfill the evaluation component of the Applied Human Resources (BH31303) subject, students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) are required to organize a program related to human resources that also contributes to the surrounding community. This initiative is part of a project under the concept of service-based learning, known as SULAM (Service Learning Malaysia - University for Society). Therefore, the members of the Little Leaders group have planned a program which not only engages with community activities but also young kids. This SULAM project took place on 23 May 2024 at Q-dees Taman Foo Long. The "Little Leaders" program provides a unique opportunity to form a proactive and enthusiastic mind among Q-dees children. By knowing their dreams and ambitions from a young age, we can help them build a solid foundation for their future. Through this program, we not only provide opportunities to encourage their creativity and aspirations, but also teach values ​​such as perseverance, courage, and responsibility. This helps them understand that big dreams require hard work and patience to achieve them. In addition, this program also provides an opportunity to foster leadership among children, teaching them to be leaders in their own lives by making wise and responsible decisions. In this way, "Little Leaders" is not just a regular program, but a comprehensive learning experience that has a long-term positive impact on the child's development.

The "Little Leaders" group consists of 23 members, including a director, deputy director, secretary, treasurer, and various specialized units such as the secretarial unit, activity unit, media and publicity unit, technical unit, souvenir unit, and logistics unit. The program was participated in by Q-Dees students aged 5 to 6 and featured a variety of engaging activities. These included the Career Flashcards Challenges, Creating Ambitions Crown, a Closing Drawing Activity, and a fun session of Squid Game Green Light Red Light.
