SULAM
Service-Learning Malaysia: University for Society (SULAM) is an educational approach that combines academic instruction with meaningful community service, integrating experiential learning and civic responsibility. The SULAM project serves as a prime example of this approach by providing university students with opportunities to apply their academic knowledge to real-world issues, fostering personal and societal growth and development. As per the requirements of SULAM, students are mandated to undertake a direct service project that involves person-to-person interaction, aiming to make a positive contribution to the community.
IMPORTANCE OF THE PROGRAM
Early Education and Growth
Kindergarten programmes offer a structured setting where young children may acquire the fundamental skills of reading, maths, and social-emotional development. This lays the groundwork for further academic achievement. The brain develops tremendously during this period and forms connections that serve as the basis for all subsequent learning and development. It is analogous to constructing a house's framework. A durable and effective construction must have a solid foundation.
Mental Growth
Early childhood programmes that include play-based learning, exploration, and problem-solving exercises help young children's cognitive development. They get curiosity, inventiveness, and critical thinking abilities from this. The term "cognitive development" describes the expansion of a child's mental capacities, such as reasoning, learning,memory, and comprehension of their environment. The early years are a dynamic time, with a lot happening quickly, especially from birth until kindergarten.
IMPACT ON COMMUNITY

In this programme, students at Q-Dees will be given early exposure on their future. The future is one of the important aspects that need to be emphasized in a person's life. The future of the child can be built through education and early exposure to the desires and dreams of the child. Early exposure to the desired ideals can encourage these children to continue to strive for knowledge. With exposure to pupils' ambitions since early childhood education tends to lead to lifelong learning. This is because the children have a desire to achieve their ambitions.

Sustainable economic growth is one of the indicators of economic progress that a country wants to achieve. Economic growth can be achieved with full employment and good employment opportunities for the community. In this program, children are given exposure to the realm of work and good areas to be involved in in their lives. With the exposure to children's ambitions, they have a high level of knowledge of the realm of work that they want to venture into in the future. Indirectly, exposure to ambitions in children is able to inculcate a high interest in achieving the desired job and thus contribute to the development of the country.

This Little Leaders program is able to promote the formation of a peaceful and comprehensive society for sustainable development. This is because this programme aims to expose the children to their ambitions and dreams. There is no denying that children are an asset to a country capable of developing and thus shaping the future of the country. Thus, the program leads to the formation of an effective and responsible institution. This is because, this programme can have a positive impact on the development of children's minds through education and early exposure.
